Fire!

What is it about fire that guys love so much?
I've noticed going through some of the pictures, we really like fire. I mean really like fire! It's not an unhealthy, pyromania type of thing.

pyromania |ˌpīrōˈmānēə|
noun
an obsessive desire to set fire to things.

OK. Maybe there's a bit of a pyromaniac in some of us. Hell, about the only thing we don't burn in Maine is rock. Not from the lack of trying either! But doesn't everyone have some little corner of the brain that's fascinated by fire? We cook with it, destroy stuff with it, warm the house with it, romance our women with it, and gather 'round it sitting on logs starring at it for hours. We'll sit in the rain or snow and watch fire.
We love fire!

We treat fire like one of our own kids. We don't let it run amuck all over the place. We like it right here in front of us where we can keep an eye on it. Close. We feed it and nurture it and are so proud when we can make it grow big and strong. We even tuck it in before we go to bed.
I might try to claim it on my taxes.

Pete brought up an oil burner. Why? Because fire's fun!
He said the 'normal' burner in your house would run at a nozzle setting of 0.75. Thats three quarters of a gallon per hour.
...But not in Maine!

Up in Maine we like a good flame! This is cranking with an old industrial nozzle at 8.5. Like I said, We like fire!

Can I burn a burger for anyone?
